History

Sam’s Car Wash has proudly served the Salisbury-Rowan area for over sixty years.

Founded by Sam and Joyce Allen in 1962, the first location at 1022 West Innes Street quickly became a trusted name for high-quality car care. When Interstate 85 was constructed, Sam identified a growing need and opened a second location at 800 East Innes Street in 1968, further solidifying their commitment to the community.

Over the years, the Allen family has expanded the business, with sons Glenn and Sam adding new locations, including one in Lexington. Later, in 2016, Glenn and his son Dwight built a car wash in Concord, continuing the legacy of innovation and service. Now, Sam’s Car Wash is embarking on an exciting new chapter by selling the Concord and East Innes locations to fully focus on the original West Innes Street site. This decision represents a return to their roots and a renewed dedication to the flagship location that started it all.

As a proud family-owned business, Sam’s Car Wash remains committed to providing top-tier car care. They are the only car wash in Salisbury to offer a hands-on shine and dry, ensuring every vehicle gets a superior finish. Their 48-hour clean car guarantee allows customers to drive away with peace of mind, confident in the quality of their service.

Sam’s Car Wash is equally devoted to sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly practices like recycling and filtering wash water and using biodegradable soaps to reduce environmental impact. With this new focus on their original West Innes Street location, Sam’s Car Wash combines tradition and forward-thinking service to continue delivering the exceptional care the Salisbury community has trusted for generations.
